Myrtle is one of the three main characters in the play - The World's End - by Tennessee Williams. A work published in 1954 as a short story with the original title – Kingdom of Earth, in 1967 the author himself turned it into a one-act play and finally expanded it into a seven-act play with the original title – The Seven Descents of Myrtle.
